    Dillion Shell Plate Question

I'm wondering if there is a list compiling all the shell plates, and indicator buttons that dillion uses on their machines, and which plates work with which calibers, and indicator buttons.

    Better yet.

My indicator buttons on my .223 and 9mm are stamped #3. Does this mean it is the same shell Plate?

My .40 is stamped number 2 on the indicator buttons, but are there other calibers I can use with this shell plate. (I know I can load 10mm, says on the box but I'm wondering if there are other calibers possilbe rifle calibers I can use)

Check out the Dillon shop page on Brian Enos's web site. It has a breakdown of plates and locator buttons by number and cartridge, so it is very easy to see which ones are redundant.

Oh, yeah, or the back of the manual.

    Gaze upon my brilliance...

Many of the components - shell plates, locator pins, bushings - are interchangeable with several cartridges. Once one buys a few common kits, one finds one can pick and select bits and pieces and have the makings for other cartridges. With that in mind...

I scanned and arranged the master listing and then downloaded it as an Excel file. I plucked out the listings for the rounds I load and made it a pin up sheet (in a plastic protector) for the reloading room wall.

I share with you all that information. This is for the XL 650 (since that is the press I have.)

Now I see I cannot attach an Excel file format. Contact me by private message if it appeals to you. I can attach it to an email.
