    Arizona H.B. 2629

    Taken from the NRA-ILA:

House Bill 2629, as amended, was added after we learned that Mojave County was registering guns when someone would check their firearm at a government building. These government buildings were recording owner information and serial numbers of firearms. HB 2629 will make the current actions of Mojave County illegal, and if they continue to illegally register guns, it will allow a private citizen to bring suit against the county. Once the bill passes final reading, it will return to the house for concurrence before it can be sent to the Governor for her consideration.
I did a search, but didn't see anything related to this particular bill.

I am quite perturbed at the nerve of my county to thumb their nose at the laws and constitution of Arizona.

Someone should sue them for doing it anyway regardless.

What really hurts my brain is why we need a law to force someone (especially a government agency) to stop breaking a law they are already breaking.

Does that make the original law (constitution) null and void. Why don't they just prosecute them for breaking the law instead of passing a new law that will force them to obey the old one.

My head is spinning over this kind of thing.

Indeed, it sets a bad precedent, doesn't it? I thought that we had effective preemption laws for this sort of thing.

It is a complete embarrassment. We have idiots running the county, seriously.

Mohave County Nedds A New Sheriff

Mohave county is ranked around 5th for most corrupt sheriffs departments. It's time Tom Sheehan was gone. Weaver For Sheriff.

We needed a few more signatures for Ron Weaver to get on the last ballot. We had them but Sheehan's people squashed just enough of the unverified to be able to run unopposed. I cannot remember or find where I read about the corrupt statistics but truthfully I believe we were third in the nation. I'm still looking!

The new Sher needs to fire every single deputy on staff. Sorry if you were a good one you are guilty by association.

And then im sure there will be 10000 more unemployed veterans looking to wear that badge and earn a paycheck.

Whoa! Wait. What? I live in Mohave County. Well, its simple, if you know you haveto check your firearm in the county building, dont even take it in there. Yeah i agree, Sheehan needs to go. Ive know Ron and his wife Mary for a while now He was Chief of BHPD for a while, then Sgt at MCSO and isnt he still run'n the show at the Camp? Anyway, ill put may name down for him anyway. Hey Once Bitten, Im in Fort Mo too!

Alas, I apologize, however I cannot find proof! I remember reading these stats somewhere but it was probably covered up by Sheehan. Never the less We DO need a new sheriff in town! I'm all for Weaver in 2012
