They are scared and passing as much as they can before the McDonald case is won.

One thing, with all those gun control laws, cities like Chicago must be really safe. I'll bet the violent crime rate is real low and none of the criminals have guns. Not!
I'm sure glad I moved from the Chicago area many years ago. It was the only place where I was more afraid of the politicians than I was of the criminals.

I was born in Chicago and love the architecture and museums. But I left there 25 years ago and have never looked back.

Isn't a "Holster" a proper portable gun carrying case

nope. illinois law generally defines a gun case as completely enlcosing the firearm.

Didnt the violent crime rate in DC drop 34% the first year after the ruling a couple of years ago? These people dont understand facts. Ignorance + corruption = Chicago.

They are calling in the guard potentially to fend off street violence.

The cronies will not allow firepower in civilian hands legally, they know it would cure the problem, they know they would lose thier power over the chicago people.

We can simply hope that McDonald Vs. Chicago will force the city to allow firearms PERIOD! This will also alleviate the communist state of HI, CA, NJ, and other communist states that defensive weapons are frowned upon.!

I think if they could, they would have you transport your handgun in a full size weapons safe on a dolly!

Good thing those politicians live in those safe places up there so they don't have to worry about the crime and such like the ordinary folks of Chicago and Illinois do.

Just an FYI, these pieces of legislation passed out of committee - they were not passed into law. The Chicago gun grabber politicians bring this same crap up every year. So far it has not come up for a full vote because they don't have the votes to get it passed. Not saying they won't try again, but it has been beat back in the past years. It's really a shame that we have to devote so much time and effort to holding off B.S. laws, and not pushing foward with good ones.
