New York City had term limits and Bloomberg just decided they don't apply to him.

The Constitution set terms limits on the Presidency because the founders knew how power can corrupt otherwise good men. They failed to see the eventual power that Senators and Congressman would amass and leverage against the wishes of their governed citizens.

Daley and his family have learned how to exploit that power to STAY there forever! It is sad!
Not disagreeing with you but there has only been constitutional since 1951 and the 22 admendment.

I remember living in Chicago as a youngster under King Richard I. During one election, the voting machines in several predominately republican wards mysteriously disappeared that might have possibly swung the election to the rival candidate. The voting machines were found years later at the bottom of the Chicago River. Chicago is genuinely apocalyptic. The waters give up their dead, and they all vote!

prohibits the possession of a handgun anywhere outside the home
So, according to Daley and the Chicago city council, life is only precious inside the home. Step outside, and your life has no value whatsoever, as viewed from the "powers that be." Well that pretty much shows how little they value the citizens of Chicago. I wonder how many of Daley's precious little bodyguards are armed outside his home.
