Lifestyles of the rich and packin': High-profile celebrities seeking gun permits

J.Lo and her 2-year-old twins can rest easy at night: Daddy is packing heat.

Singer Marc Anthony is one of dozens of celebs, millionaires and high-profile athletes authorized to carry a concealed weapon in the city, records show.

And the number of A-listers who have guns is growing.

"We have seen an increase in celebs seeking their own permits," said John Skylar Chambers, a lawyer who has helped New Yorkers get gun permits for more than 20 years.

The rich and famous can get a permit, heck with the peasants, they can fend for themselves.

Then there others who condemn gun owners yet consider themselves more deserving of armed protection.

Plenty of them would turn around and speak out against guns whenever possible. Hypocrites.

Paul, I'm not so sure that the celebs mentioned in the article have been vocally anti-2A. Rosie O'Donnell aside, there are a lot more conservative and/or [true] libertarian celebs than reported. Being "outed" as having conservative tendencies tends to be a career-ender in many hollywood circles.

They're not all hypocrites... they're just afraid of discrimination.
