2010 tax form, guns?
I just received an e-mail from a freind that had a lot of links to the 2010 Tax Return form . stating that a law has been passed that will make it mandatory that you state how many guns you have. Is this something that has allready circulated here? is it true? I did a search here and found nothing related to it.

Until it's proven otherwise I would consider that rumor to be utter nonsense.

That's because it's not true. Bad urban myth: (this rumor started in 2009) http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/taxreturns.asp

Federal, or state? Lots of different tax laws/forms, etc...... I do know in some states that assess personal property taxes, that firearms and livestock are considered assets and taxable under the laws some of which may be ancient laws, but never removed nor amended. Ignorance may be good in some circumstances, but the truth be known.....the system will always be able to hold something over our heads. I do believe property taxes are illegal, and a form of double taxation (since you're taxed at purchase, and continue to be taxed periodically). I think this is spelled out in the Bill of Rights and supported by the constitution. Rumors or not.....don't get me started on taxation. LOL!

If it comes as 'news' by e-mail link it's very likely garbage.
But if you send me your e-mail addy. my friend Nosume' Canthereu, of Nigeria, has a great opportunity to make a good deal of money in just 48 hrs. with no work and all you need is a US bank account...
