Washington (03/08/2006): Shoot First Bills Dead on Arrival
The Washington state legislature adjourned without taking action on two Shoot First bills (SB 6139/HB 3065). The pair of bills would have removed the duty to retreat from the state's laws on use of lethal force in self-defense. Their failure to take up these two bills delivered a blow to the National Rifle Association's efforts to pass this type of law in every state.


Benjamin- First of all Washington DOES have a No Duty to Retreat statute already in effect in state law. Just because they adjourned session without taking action on these bills does not mean they're "dead." I am so tired of these uneducated, propoganda feeding idiots that couldnt cut it at the National Inquirer so they joined the Brady Campaign. Whats next? "Half bat, half boy found trafficking illegal guns to terrorist in Alabama!" Everyone should take a look at this site and read all the bull s*** they're writing about your own state.
