Here is a link to his story (a bit outdated now): http://www.patriotpilot.com/aboutme.html

Here is a link to the letter he received from the sheriff-coroner-marshal informing him that his permit has been suspended: http://www.patriotpilot.com/Images/CCW%20Suspension.pdf
We're all in favor of reducing violent crime. It's just that pro-gunners have a method that is proven effective. Anti-gunners don't.

So doesn't this tell you who the DHS really thinks the enemy is?

It's not radical islam. DHS won't even use the term. They hate Americans who won't bow to their power.

They probably asked for his state ccw contemplating him getting a criminal charge for his violation as well. That happens at my job when you get suspended the Sheriff orders you to turn in your off duty weapon(on badge) and any pistol permits you own as well. There reasoning is in case your are further charged with a crime you don't have any weapons.
One more step and it's on!

Actually after I originally read this thread I went back and did some searching on California and the CCW laws of that (very screwed up) state. The most glaring issue is the California "Good Cause" provision for issuing a carry permit. On your application, you have to justify a significant reason why you should be able to carry. I'd bet (I say bet because obviously I don't know what he specifically used on his permit application) that his deputization by the TSA and his security responsibilities were the cornerstone of his "good cause". If he is no longer part of that security detail, then his good cause would be void and so would his permit.

I was pretty shocked by this when I first read it, but it really doesn't amount to anything other than the Sheriff Department following the procedures that are already there. Now I'll completely agree that the TSA probably made an effort to 'inform' the sheriff of his suspension from that program, but the bottom line is the anger and outrage is better placed on the laws in California, since they are the ones making honest citizens justify the 'need' to protect themselves.
