It's just more of the usual hyperbole.

Go ahead. Ban guns. Ban semi-automatics and high capacity magazines.

Then what? It will stop nothing.

There is a certain type of human being that will never understand it, and the rest of us suffer for it in the way of more restrictions.

Some of our own forum members favor regulations on high-capacity magazines, etc. But it wouldn't have stopped this tragedy from happening. If such devices were illegal, that is no guarantee that the murderer wouldn't have them.

This--from the folks who think Bloomberg should be their mayor, that don't know the difference between a mag and a clip (as none of the media does apparently).

Because you can't revolt with a cigarette or a hoagie sandwich. To many in this country including LEOs think that the only people who should have guns are LEOs and the military.

“What it’s good for is killing and injuring a lot of people quickly.” So how does that make it unsuitable for personal protection???

There is so much ignorance in that article.

The author and the Brady bunch are confusing the Glock with the magazine. The Glock was never banned.

The gun-control clamor we're hearing linked to this tragedy is going to be with us for a very long time! Like a dog with a bone, the gun-control advocates and a large portion of the media - as witnessed by the above NYT pathetic piece - will not let this go. Be prepared, as the advocates for reversing the recent second amendment legal gains once again have a rallying point. Stay vigilant.

Funny thing you mention that... several anti-gun editorials I've been reading lately haven been in papers owned by Bloomberg. He's really jumped on this...

Doesn't anyone see a conflict of interest when a politician owns many prominent media outlets?

Wow, wonder what their reaction would be to some of the competition race guns out there. 20 shots in a hole the size of a quarter at 10 yards in 4 seconds. Recoil? What's that?

I put a copy of the NYT and the Wash. Post in my cat's litter box. He refused to use it. Know why?

    It would have been redundant.

More ignorant gibberish from the MSM.

Kind of ironic that I've heard Bloomberg himself has a NYC permit. Wait that's not ironic typical of the rich and politically connected. You know, laws are for everyone else.

I am completely amazed that everyone of them knows how to spell the word Gun correctly.
It's not that "they" know how it is spelled, it is simply that they all use spell check and have editors that use it as well.
