"Whether or not there's some measure there in terms of limiting the size of the magazine that you can buy to go with a semiautomatic weapon — we’ve had that in place before. Maybe it’s appropriate to re-establish that kind of thing, but I think you do have to be careful obviously," Cheney told NBC's Jamie Gangel, national correspondent for "TODAY."
"We’re looking for ways to make sure this never happens again, but you’ve still got to go back to the fact that it looks like the cause of this particular tragedy was this one individual who apparently has very serious mental problems," Cheney said in the interview, parts of which aired Wednesday.

I thought this was a headline from 1964...
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

He's a politician, and a masterful one at that. He rides whatever rail is riding fastest. People dont understand, the Repiblicans traditionally have views more towards gun owners, simply because they dont want governemnt meddling in our lives, mainly with their money, but guns fits in to a neat little proverbial basket for them to keep supporters for their cause. That being said, a politician, Republican or Democrat will abandon a cause if need be to benefit their own agendas when necessary.
President Obeyme wants to stomp the red button and limit magazine capacity and semi autos and everything else, but his handlers and spin doctors rightfully tell him to hang back and let the other minions who do not face re-election to the White House in a year stand on the soapboxes for him. He is being very mum on this subject for a reason.

Cheney, an
avid hunter, said he is "willing to listen to ideas" on how to better control the purchase and use of firearms.
Another that thinks the only use for firearms is hunting.

Cheney would have to be "in" to begin with to sell out...

Maybe we should ban his buying batteries? He's a fine one to be saying anything about guns ... well, I take that back--he did shoot a lawyer.
Politicians will say anything to hitch a ride on the bandwagon of the day.

I would expect nothing less from a chicken hawk slimeball.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Hit him with my Taser if I could. Right in the Power Pack. He could tell the devil "what a ride".

First of all, the SA isn't about hunting. Second, who is he to talk about how to use a firearm? Didn't he shoot his friend with a shotgun while hunting a few years ago, when he was still the VP?
