Thanks for posting. Let's hope it passes and then that the Gov. signs it.

    Right there with you!

Hard to believe in a republican controlled state this is getting this much challenge. It is time to do what is right by the people of Ohio and allow us our rights. I hate thinking we could get into trouble on a silly technicality like forgetting to disarm in many restaurants. What I really hate is disarming at all!!
It's not a problem til they make it one!

Here is an article from the Cincinnati Enquirer, first headline:

Ohio House to vote on allowing guns in bars | Cincinnati.com | cincinnati.com

Could this story misrepresent the facts of the bill any worse! No wonder the uninformed are giving the legislature heat.

The liberal media, both TV and newspapers, has consistently misrepresented this legislation by headlining and focusing on "bars" rather than "restaurants that serve alcohol". The media does not want to tell the truth--it doesn't sell. The media wants sensational "Packin Heat in Bars" headlines and attention grabbers on TV. That kind of crap gets the public's attention--not cold hard facts! I sure hope this passes, gets passed in the senate, and then gets signed by the republican governor (who has liberal democrat views when it comes to guns!) The democrat governor and democrat attorney general we had were more 2A and gun friendly than the republicans who replaced them. That is why I vote for the INDIVIDUAL and not the party.

I left my rep a strongly worded but pleasant voicemail this morning. I didn't vote for my rep, but that doesn't mean I can't get my word in edgewise, I figure

I hope they pass it for you guys/gals. I just came back from a week in Columbus, during which I carried in all the restaurants/bars we went to, whether they served liquor or not.

Yikes. I'm too young, too much still ahead of me in life. I'll be keeping to the straight and narrow personally.

I carry under LEOSA, which is exempt from such laws and already has case law out of SD affirming that.

They are debating it right now, you can watch it online.

Gloves, hope you enjoyed your visit to the Buckeye state, next time you need to go to Columbus, try to make it during college football season.
