We really need "Loser Pays" put in place to stop these B.S. lawsuits.

The only common sense gun legislation was written about 224 years ago.
I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.
i get tired of seeing this over and over. He more than likely knew damn good and well the range was there before he bought the house. No judge or jury in their right minds would let this tool win

A few years ago in IL, there was a church that tried this tactic with bars. It didn't work out for them but it was still a pain for the bar owners.
Don't do things you don't want to explain to the Paramedics!
Stupidity should be painful.
As some others have said, this is an excellent argument for loser pays on all lawsuits. As it stands now you don't have to even win a lawsuit to ruin someone's life, just keep filing frivolous lawsuits like this clown from the OP.
I think the gun club should give a discounted membership to all the neighbors.

This type of stupidity hopes all the time... They build a home next the the airport and file noise complaints. They build a school at the end of a runway and want the airport to restrict their hours. They put in a housing development next door to a pig farm that has been there for 5 generations and file suit wanting them shut down. Same story but next to a chicken farm, cattle farm, dairy farm....
It's as bad as the idiot that built his home on a flood plain at the end of the road. I stopped and warned him before he even broke ground, told him that the area was only dry because of the drought, that where he is putting his house has been under 3 feet of water for 21 of the last 23 years....
He informed me in no uncertain words that I was stupid, he was from the city and he knew what he was doing, so I could just shut up and leave him alone...
8 neighbors had the same run in, as did the building inspector, and the drain comishioner....
When his home literaly turned into an island with his basement flooded, his foundation craked and heaved due to hydrolic pressure he sue'd the township wanting the residents to put in a drainage project for him, and flat out lied and said "No one told me"....
Yeah he was shot down when everyone that had warned him showed to his meeting and voiced an opinion.....

This also sounds like my Wife's Cousin, who had a home built close to a Local Rod and Gun club, and then TREID
to have the club shut down, because he was "afraid for his family" due to the noise and open shooting ranges at the Club... He didn't get too far, and wound up selling his home
...He's an idiot too, and I wasn't too forgiving for his stupid behavior.
He doesn't talk to us anymore, no love lost there

My cousin is an attorney who is representing the range owner on Long Island for the exact same reason. Neighbors are complaining about the noise from the range. the range was there prior to them buying a home.

Michigan has a very comprehensive law regarding this, set forth when Engler was in office, thank goodness.
