Wisconsin concealed carry bill to be signed July 8 in Wausau area

There's been a lot of discussion as to the legality of the 1,000 foot rule in Wisconsin over the years. That law gets broken all the time. Especially by those like me who live within 1,000 feet of a school. It's a law that has never been enforced unless you make it an issue.

In my city, there are 19 different public school buildings. There are several other private schools as well. That means a fairly significant portion of the city is actually a no gun zone. You can barely drive through the city legally to to the range or to go hunting. Which is why the LEOs rarely ever enforce the rule without someone providing them a reason to. If enough people forced the issue, the law probably could get struck down.
