Letter from the anti-freedom Virginia Center for Public Safety...
re: National Reciprocity:

Dear VACPS Supporters,
Once again we find ourselves assaulted by the gun lobby. They are
demanding that Congress pass a National Concealed Carry Reciprocity bill that
endangers Virginia families & Virginia police officers.
National reciprocity of concealed carry permits would override the laws of
almost every state by obliging each to accept concealed handgun carry
permits from every other state, even if the permit holder would not be allowed
to carry or even possess a handgun in the state where he or she is
traveling. This would effectively overturn Virginia’s concealed carry laws by
allowing concealed carry by non-residents who cannot meet Virginia standards.
Alarmingly, a citizen of Virginia denied a concealed carry permit by
Virginia State Police for failing to meet our state standards, could obtain a
permit from a state with more lax standards and state police would then have
to honor that permit. Our standards, while not perfect, do attempt to
prevent potentially dangerous individuals from carrying concealed weapons.
Major national police organizations and the Virginia Association of Chiefs
of Police oppose national concealed carry reciprocity as do over 30 member
organizations of Faiths United.
Please contact Senator Mark Warner and Senator Jim Webb to let them know
of your opposition to forced National Concealed Carry Reciprocity.
Phone them TODAY: The gun lobby is threatening to put this amendment on
an appropriations bill making its way through the Senate right now.
Senator Warner at 202-224-2023 and Senator Webb at 202-224-4024
Once you've been connected, let them know:
* You're a constituent.
* You strongly oppose the so-called "concealed carry reciprocity"
amendment, which would trample Virginia's right to decide who can carry a
hidden, loaded gun.
* Urge Senators Warner & Webb to side with mayors, police chiefs, and
concerned Americans across the country -- not the out-of-touch gun lobby.
Thank you for your support and conviction as we all agree how important it
is to protect Virginia's families and those serving selflessly in local
and state law enforcement agencies.
Andrew Goddard
President, VACPS

Regardless how we as Pro-freedom feel about the National government getting involved, it is helpful to keep an eye on what the antis are saying, IMHO.

Since the Brady Bunch, and the Million Moms, let alone the Mayors against guns, have not spoken up on this yet, since this is a national issue, and they are a collection of national sheep tenders, they are the ones I will wait to see their reaction.
I have other reasons I am against this...other thread on the matter.
On hiatus.
Hit my limit for speculation, the sky is falling, and gun owners fighting amongst themselves.

I think the States need to recognize other State permits and leave the National Government out of it!
