Hmmmm and Obama is just the guy we all trust to do EXACTLY what he tells us he will do. And I'm young, rich, and good looking too.
I carry to protect myself and my loved ones from the BG's. Not to solve societies problems. That said: if more carried the deterrent would only have a positive overall effect on those problems.

Yeah, I trust anything that comes out of this man's mouth. Or any other politician for that matter.

Not surprising, he apparently hasn't had a plan on anything he's done so far.

Actually, in some circumstances the practice of Taqiyya is not only acceptable, it is considered legitimate too.

Correct. Lying to non-believers is permitted under certain circumstances. Typically, when it is favorable to Islam and it helps to defeat the non-believers. There are two different forms of lying to non-believers:

Taqiyya: Saying something that is not true.
Kitman: Lying by omission, which implies telling only the part that serves their purposes and neglecting to mention the rest.

On the news they were saying that some in Government are claiming the Fast and Furious proved the need for tighter gun laws. I'm not sure of their logic though.

The only common sense gun legislation was written about 224 years ago.

I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.
