Fantastic! This type of outcome is not ignored by others in power.

"He went on two legs, wore clothes and was a human being, but nevertheless he was in reality a wolf of the Steppes. He had learned a good deal . . . and was a fairly clever fellow. What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."

Refreshing when government votes to restrain itself. Good for voters and senators in Oregon.
Americans understood the right of self-preservation as permitting a citizen to repel force by force
when the intervention of society... may be too late to prevent an injury.

    From the article:

"Sen. Elizabeth Steiner Hayward, D-Beaverton, said she understands the concerns about gun rights but doesn't feel they should be allowed at schools.

"On school campuses there's not a logical place to secure weapons safely,"
she said. "Having weapons there increases the risk." "

My holster would be a logical place to safely secure my weapon.
