We've Got To Brainwash People Against Guns
The Vetting - Holder 1995: We Must 'Brainwash' People on Guns
"What we need to do is change the way in which people think about guns, especially young people, and make it something that's not cool, that it's not acceptable, it's not hip to carry a gun anymore, in the way in which we changed our attitudes about cigarettes."
Holder added that he had asked advertising agencies in the nation's capital to assist by making anti-gun ads rather than commercials "that make me buy things that I don't really need." He had also approached local newspapers and television stations, he said, asking them to devote prime space and time, respectively, to his anti-gun campaign.
Local political leaders and celebrities, Holder said, including Mayor Marion Barry and Jesse Jackson, had been asked to help. In addition, he reported, he had asked the local school board to make the anti-gun message a part of "every day, every school, and every level."
Remember, our current president chose to appoint this jazbo as Attorney General.
Do we need four more years of such appointments? How are gun rights going to look after 2016?

he's an idiot, the only way to combate this is get out and vote and have all your friends, family and neighbors do the same thing on an informed basis..so spread the word
I would rather live my life as if there is a God,
And die to find out there isn't, than live my life
As if there isn't, and die to find out there is.

From article;
Breitbart.com has uncovered video from 1995 of then-U.S. Attorney Eric Holder announcing a public campaign to "really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way."
Boy, according to firearms sales and firearms ownership in the US, I'd say this dummy could keep taking, because, since he made this statement back in 1995, gun sales have outpaced the stockmarket.
He is a class "A" poster child for STUPID
Doe it surprise you BHO has him in his camp??

Well, it's easy to call Holder all kinds of nasty names. But in order to have an intelligent discussion and to present solutions, I think we need to understand our 'enemy' a little bit. I mean, he is a black man, and so is BHO. Last time I checked, many urban black neighborhoods were little more than gun-battle zones. So I can understand their concern - it is valid. Their 'solution' is not valid.
The real 'gun problem' is due to lack of responsible family upbringing. But unfortunately, Holder and BHO seem to think that by passing more gun laws, the violence problem will be solved - NOT! When you can start fixing the family situation, then substantial changes will naturally occur.

There's no doubt in my mind that at some point our gun rights will be defeated through the brainwashing of the young by the media, by the schools, and by those whom they look up to as stars of entertainment. Those cards are stacked against the survival of the RKBA as we know it.
As for Holder, I originally considered him just an empty suit but recent events have me seeing him as criminal. I want him gone.

We need to call Congress. I'm pretty sure he could be impeached. Unfortunately, the Senate would ensure it would be an exercise in futility. Maybe Rep Issa can get him for contempt of Congress

My gut is telling me a mod is going to pop in and identify this as politcal....... (I am not a mod).
The antigun message is only going to get worse, from a wide varity of sources and through a wide variety of methods. There are individuals in all major parties that think antigun messages are good.

It's cool to carry a gun? Who knew, I'm one of the cool kids!
The problem with his statements is he is lumping all gun "owners" together, it might be cool if you are a gangbanger and show of your piece to your homies, but for regular people I don't think looking cool plays much of a part in it.

With the exercise of 2nd amendment rights at an all-time historical high nationwide and violent crime at its lowest point in decades, the anti-gunners are going to have a very difficult time getting the genie pushed back into the bottle. They continue to hang on precariously in a few of the may-issue states and the two no-issue venues, but beyond that, the worm has definitely turned.

I'd like to see an ad that talks about an Attorney General that we really don't need.

Re-educating the citizenry about what defines justice would be a great way to rid ourselves of violent crime. Trouble is we really do have all the crime we're willing to tolerate.
They come out of the woodwork these days. It's actually beginning to be fashionable to publicly embrace Socialism. She's calling a spade a spade (and that is not a reference to race!). Celebrity bozos abound!

Not if it stays non-political.
Holder is doing the same thing Sebelius tried to do with cigarettes as noted in her infamous "rebranding speech". Well, it seems a DC Court (U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia) rejected her "rebranding" of nicotine and handed the tobacco companies a resounding victory (which has been appealed). The Sixth Circuit held for the Government today on an appeal out of Kentucky on the issue.
My point, not to cause thread drift, is that we all need to be vigilant against any attempt to circumvent the established law via regulatory fiat. BATFE and DOJ is trying exactly that with the long-gun border state registration scheme, and we must guard against others. Holder will be the worst, as the "AG", even though he, of all people, knows better.
