I know, I cringed at the use of the term "silencers" as well. I looked around and didn't see it posted any where, but you know how big this forum can be.

Opinions? I myself couldn't think of a reason to ban them, but I'm not a hunter so I'm open to hear from you guys.
Well, I see no reason to force me to experience 160 dB, when I could be experiencing 130 dB. Of course, that's *me*. I can think of a ton of reasons why I wouldn't want other hunters (who I trust less than myself) to have suppressors.
I have no idea what a silencer is? However if it is somewhat compared to a "Supressor" then I have an idea.

There is no down side in allowing the use of them for suppressors.
And, beleive it or not, the word "silencer" is actually recognized by the ATF as a valid word.
I got a .22 rifle in yesterday that tested at 91 decibels when dry fired. When shot it is 92. It is what we call "stupid quiet".
It makes a pellet gun seem loud by comparison. I'll post a video of it soon, because it is hard to beleive.

It makes no sense to not allow them - those that are doing stuff they shouldn't aren't stopped from using them anyway and it would help save the hearing of hunters.
Suppressors were just made legal for hunting in AZ.
Suppressors should be legal for any type of shooting that is otherwise legal. You also shouldn't need a $200 tax stamp and permission from the ATF to buy one in the first place.

Dispense with the tax, the stupid paperwork and the seven month wait to get your Form 4 "authorized".
