    A good read on that.

Hopefully I can break myself of ANY soft drinks period. I'm trying. Haven't been successful yet, but am trying.

My dad retired from Coca-Cola so I know of no other kind of soda :) I think I was bottle fed the stuff as a baby since I don't remember ever NOT drinking it. I say that because I recently gave up all soda (pop, cola). It was HARD to do, but I found that flavored water helped a lot, and eventually I just switched to regular water, which to me was boring as could be when I was drinking Coke.

When I was the "fat" shadow I drank that yummy poison daily.

When I started my goal to become the "thin" shadow...

let me tell you about caffeine withdrawal...

a pounding headache for two solid weeks!

Now just Water, Milk, Juice and sometimes a cold beer (when I've been a good boy)

Good point, I've dropped 25 pounds so far after quitting the cola thing... granted, a healthier diet started about the same time. :)

I've been hooked on diet soda for at least 32 years (started with TAB - which had saccharin). I just couldn't go back to the sugared stuff. Two reasons for that. One, it was too sweet after having the saccharin loaded pop and two, when I worked at A&W, I had to mix the root beer and it blew my mind how much sugar went into it. We had a 25 gallon container (if I remember the volume right) and we added water up to a certain line. Then we added 2 - 50 pound bags of sugar and mixed it until it was fully desolved. Then we added 4 gallons of A&W root beer concentrate. Just seeing that much sugar go into that little of water made me ill. To this day, I can tell immediately if someone accidentally served me regular pop instead of diet by the sickly sweetness that I taste.

But hopefully I can break myself of the diet pop habit too. It would save me a lot to spend on more guns.

I don't much care for soda. Coke has removed several of their Dasani machines throughout campus because a startup by WVU alumni has started putting water bottle filling stations throughout campus. You have to use their special bottle, but it's free because all of their revenue is from ads that show on the machine while your bottle is being cleaned and filled.
