It’s back to ‘blame the previous administration’ for gunwalking

As Thursday morning’s long-awaited hearing on the Inspector General’s report about Operation Fast and Furious began to unfold, Ranking Member Elijah Cummings (D-MD) made a point of noting that gunwalking, which lies at the heart of the current scandal, began under the Bush administration.

    It

Cowboys and idiocy?’ Fast and Furious meltdown now seems inevitable

From the abruptly-retired former acting director to the group supervisor and command staff at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives field office in Phoenix, the Inspector General’s report on Operation Fast and Furious underscores what one agent last year described to Congress as “the perfect storm of idiocy.”

Reform? I don't think so. If they're serious; if you're serious, abolition of the BATFE and the laws it enforces is what needs to happen.

NY Times editorial green-lights ATF purge on Fast & Furious

Anyone wondering whether there might be heads rolling after release of the Inspector General’s report on Operation Fast and Furious can rest assured there will soon be vacancies at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, courtesy the “green light” given to the agency and the Obama administration by the New York Times.

A lot of fury but not much fast. New development of this fiasco.
A federal judge Wednesday ordered the Department of Justice to turn over the Fast and Furious documents President Barack Obama has been protecting with executive privilege.

U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson gave the department until Oct. 1 to provide the list of documents to Congress, The Washington Post reports. The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hopes the documents explain why the Justice Department refused to acknowledge the failed Fast and Furious operation for almost a year.

Obama has invoked executive privilege in an attempt to protect the documents, and the Justice Department has said the documents should not be released....

Republican Rep. and House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa told the Associated Press the documents “will bring us closer to finding out why the Justice Department hid behind false denials in the wake of reckless conduct that contributed to the violent deaths of border patrol agent Brian Terry and countless Mexican citizens.”

All of the people found at the helm of these illegal operations shouldn't be forced to step down, or get a slap on the wrist after declaring they already stepped down. They need to be put in prison. Imagine the consequences for someone in the private sector.............

    Spot on.

Holder needs to go to prison, along with his cohort in crime: Barrack Hussein Obama

As soon as Holder completes his resignation Obama will issue a Presidential Pardon for all of his actions, just like Ford did for Nixon. At best history will record Holder and Obama were the worst AG and President, respectively.
