Representative Margaret Conditt (Butler County District 55) held a fundraiser at the Middletown Sportsmens Club on Saturday, May 12, 2012.
....................What happened? Rep. Conditt got an "accidental" assist from a group of anti-gun politicians and activists, including Ohio Representatives Ted Celeste and Tracy Maxwell Heard along with Toby Hoover of the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence and Brian Rothenberg from Progress Ohio.
During a recent press conference, these gun control advocates launched a partisan and personal attack against Rep. Conditt, calling her upcoming fundraiser "distasteful" and "offensive,....................................... .......... gun owners and sportsmen around Ohio responded immediately, flooding Conditt's campaign office with donations and requests to attend her event.
.....................When asked if she ever considered canceling the fundraiser, Rep. Conditt said, "No. Not for even one second." Addressing the standing room only crowd, she smiled and said, "I want to thank Ted Celeste and Tracy Maxwell Heard for helping to make this fundraiser such a huge success."

Good for her.
One of the best things going for us in the pro-2nd Amendment crowd is that we outnumber the antis and are far more active in defending our rights than they are in taking them away.

If I have to explain it, you wouldn't understand
The editorial page of the Dayton Daily News published a "debate" about stand your ground laws a couple of weeks ago. They featured a sheriff, a couple of progun activists and Toby Hoover of the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence. The sheriff and the progun advocates were articulate and logical in their statements. Toby Hoover came across as an illogical, emotional, idiotic total fool. No surprise there! Her view is that everyone has the "duty" to retreat! Doesn't take into consideration someone who is elderly and unable to run away. From how she came across in the "debate" it doesn't surprise me she stuck her foot in her mouth again. Illogical idiots have a habit of doing that. Glad her stupidity helped raise funds for a progun candidate.
