"Look, I'll save y'all a lot of trouble. You don't need to read all the comments below. For every article posted about guns or gun control in the Post, you'll see most if not all of these arguments: (AG = Anti-gunner, PG = Pro-gunner)."
AG: There are not enough gun laws in this country to prevent gun violence.
PG: There are already 20,000 gun laws on the books, the vast majority of which don't work.
AG: Gun violence is out of control, look how many people die from guns every year.
PG: Check your statistics. Once you eliminate suicides and gang violence, the numbers are not that bad.
AG: America has more gun violence than any other advanced country.
PG: Duh, we have more guns so we have more gun violence. But we do not have more violence in total.
AG: America would be a better place without guns.
PG: America would be a better place without gun-grabbers.
AG: We must keep guns out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them.
PG: Just how the heck are you gonna do that without trampling on everyone else's rights?
AG: We must enact more laws to keep the guns out of the hands of gangs and other criminals.
PG: Gangs and other criminals are already violating every law on the books. How are more laws going to help?
AG: That guy looks a little shady, I don't think he should have been allowed to own a gun.
PG: Sure, and maybe we should ship him off to Siberia while we're at it.
AG: We must reduce gun ownership to make our families and children safe.
PG: You must allow me to own guns to make my family and children safe.
AG: The NRA is an evil empire that has brainwashed the public.
PG: The NRA is a responsible organization that has been demonized by the liberal media.
AG: Guns are a relic from the 19th century when we needed to protect ourselves from bears and indians.
PG: Guns work just fine in the 21st century when we need to protect ourselves from crips and bloods.
AG: We should be more like England and Japan.
PG: England and Japan!? You must be joking.
AG: No one has a need for a cop-killing, plane-downing, kevlar-piercing, expanded clip, ballistic machine gun assault rifle!
PG: Geez, what are you talking about? Get a clue.
AG: Guns should only be in the hands of the military and police.
PG: That's what Hitler, Stalin, and Mao said.
AG: The 2nd amendment doesn't really mean THAT!
PG: Yes, the 2nd amendment means exactly THAT!
AG: You toothless, unwashed pro-gun wingnuts make me so mad!
PG: You spineless, commie anti-gun wusses make me so mad!
