    And - <sigh> again

DC To Spend $250,000 on Gun Buyback

    Washington Post

Despite the lack of any evidence that gun buybacks have any positive impact on crime, the DC government is planning to spend a quarter of a million dollars on yet another buyback.

Dandridge is clueless I believe. The money would be better spent removing "Firearms not allowed signs" where posted and give the BGs something to think about.

I wonder how many stolen guns they buy back in those things. Nothing like taxpayer money going to deprive taxpayers of their constitutional rights.

    Please refer to my 'sig'...

WHY do these goofy politicians keep getting re-elected? Even the 'crooked' politicians (encompasses the majority)...the ones who actually get arrested...they too, do not seem to have difficulty in keeping their jobs...

The GG's in DC had better watch out. The BG's will be getting $50 for every gun they steal. -------

Makes me wish I still had the old under $25 Saturday Night Special I got for shooting snake shot on demo ranges about 35 years ago! I'd turn it in for $50!!

Growing up in Maryland, I witnessed many useless programs. You should see the junk firearms they pick up.......

I've got an old junker single barrel, rusted, broken, irrepairable shotgun I'd love to sell them. Wonder if I could get $50 for it if I ship it to them?

Yeah actually they probably will be qued up for it...Right after they run across the border to VA or MD and steal a bunch of guns and then go get in line in DC to get their $50 per gun. These gun buyback programs are really quite funny.

This is the perfect way for some felon in possession of a firearm that has been used in one or more of DC's myriad shootings to get rid of the evidence risk free.

    What a GREAT plan......

How in the world do they justify these buy-backs? Its seems like a total waste of dollars that could actually do some good.

I have no idea. To think if the government didn't throw away money here and there on a bunch of useless things they might actually turn a profit every year.

Ive thought about starting my own local "gun buy back" program...

witht the idea that it has to be a workable firearm...no junk.

That way, I could get some of those collectables that have been sitting in closets for years for 50 bucks a pop....
