It took a week to obtain my CCW after all background checks and conceal carry class and application were submitted. We can also open carry and purchase guns with no waiting period whatsoever. We have the Castle law and we are able to carry openly in our cars or keep one in the glove compartment. I moved away from the Soviet Socialist Republic of California and have never looked back.
I consider the ones with Constitutional Carry (AK/VT/AZ) to be gun friendly states. The rest are just bustas.
NH has CC and OC. Residents are required to go to their Local PD and apply for their Pistol and revolver license, which takes about 7 days to get. Cost is 20.00 for 5 yrs. Full auto, sbr, AOW, DD, supressors are ok to have too.
No sales/state income tax. NICS check and you're on your way with your purchase.
If I were to move it'd be to Vermont.
Washington DC: They have done more to bring our 2nd amendment rights to the forefront with positive SCOTUS support then all the NRA lobbyists combined. But as to your real question I'd vote for Alaska as no permit or fee is required there as far as I know.
I just got back from Montana, yeah pretty much about as gun friendly as I have ever seen. I am moving to Missoula area, probably near LOLO, in about 6 months to a year MAX. I cant handle Atlanta and it's massiveness anymore.
Tangoseal: You know, Missoula is one of the liberal "hotbeds" of Montana. :gah: Beautiful area though.
Idaho is great for gun rights, I spend quite a bit of time there and I love that they are WA friendly with cpl's
