Do any of you believe that the US government will ever mass confiscate all civilian firearms in the United States? what do you think would happen if we wake up one day and they start confiscating our firearms?

I would love to tell you exactly what I would do if I should wake up one day and a confiscation be underway in the USA. However, due to the limits of Rule 10 of the forum, I am unable to do so.

Yes... vote out every incumbent... every one of them... even the ones you agree with on one topic are doing you harm in some other way... They are doing the bidding of big $$$ period. until they learn that they are employed by we the people, the do not deserve to call themselves public servants. SCOTUS has made it so that elections can now be purchased by the largest corporate bidder with the most $$$.

Vote them all out.

So this is why political activism is so damned important. Convert the gun control crowd so that the government by the people, of the people, and for the people remains that way. The ballot box is where all the difference will be made. All politics is local...start with the city council and work out. The NRA has made a huge difference. The government may only do what we the people allow it to do. Don't ever forget, this country and constitution belong entirely to the people...not the government employees or the media. They may share it with us but they may not confiscate it from us.

What we really need is "Term Limits" for everyone. No more than 8 years as an elected official with even 2 years as dog catcher counting in the 8.
And don't complain that it takes them that long to learn how it all works as that is the point. To get it back to government "By the People, for the People" we MUST get rid of all career politicians and put it back into the hands of "The People".
Easier said than done but if we can not do it we, our, children or grand children just may be doomed to socialism.

I believe as many do. Not likely to show up and ask for all your guns. What they could do is legislate away ammo, parts, reloading, and ranges. With everything gone all we have for the most part is a lot of nice looking steel and polymer. Of course some will have stashes but not most. That is when no one will care anymore so if money for guns offered many will think take it while I can.

That I believe is human nature for all but the few die hards among us. I would say pray for this to never happen but that just won't get it. Vote and be active for this not to happen and enlist others to believe in our Constitutional rights!

I don't have the SCOTUS cases off the top of my head but taxing guns out of existance is a non starter. Anyone remember "poll taxes"? Applying a tax so burdensome as to restrict the exercise of a right to only the wealthy (on guns or ammo) is unconstitutional.
