Let me say that I'm a history Major right now and possibly going into politics (firm constitutionalist here) and I had a discussion with one of my professors about this very issue. He is pro 2a and thinks that licensed carry should be allowed on public college campus's. I then got into a discussion with my sociology professor right after she showed us "bowling for Columbine" and everyone got all anti gun all of a sudden from that movie. I got her to show "Michael Moore hates America" to debunk all that garbage that was in the original film. I ended with "Well Dr. XXXX, My firearms must be well trained since none of them have jumped out of the safe and went on a shooting spree" she looked at me perplexed and asked what I meant by it. I told her that it's not the firearm, it's the person behind the firearm. She seemed open to the idea.
