Second Amendment Foundation Defends Woman’s Right Of Self-Defense At United Nations

BELLEVUE, WA --(Ammoland.com)- The Second Amendment Foundation today reminded the United Nations that “if women have the right to be protected against violence, then they have the right to protect themselves against violence.”

So spoke SAF’s Director of Operations Julianne Versnel, whose remarks to the U.N. Programme of Action conference were unlike anything many delegates had ever heard before. The conference is seen as the first step toward rekindling discussions about an on-going process to continue development of a small arms and light weapons treaty, which earlier this summer collapsed when several nations opposed it.

Noting that she had reviewed what has already been written and said about the violence against women as it relates to the Programme of Action, Versnel emphasized that, “I am struck by what is not said.”

The best way to defend against all of this nonsense is to expel the UN from US soil and completely defund them. They've done nothing good and have caused plenty of harm since inception. It's time to stop doing the same thing while expecting things to magically get better, and withdraw from the UN. We do not need to be in an organization composed mostly of third-world despots to peacefully interact and trade with the rest of the world.

Not to mention we give most all the money, mens lives, and even now some or our freedoms. We have to be the muscle and give troops and what not for this nonsense. Enough is enough. You dont see the other "superpowers" kicking in too much. Let them all do the dirty work.

I think that is bad info, nobody has signed anything dealing with that treaty; can't find any 'legitimate' news sources that says other wise.
