So far this month, the number of (Chicago) homicides has surpassed an average of one per day.

My Comments: So let us punish the legal gun owners with more regulations.

Unfortunately that is far too difficult a concept for them to understand. Criminals don't follow the law. I fear that Omaha is not far behind. They've recently proposed a bill that would cost bar owners to control the "bad guys" that go there. Makes just as little sense.

Where's your firearm, all ~5M citizens of Chicago (and outlying towns)? "On my hip, next to my five spare magazines and OC/PS ... where it should be." There's a foolproof, non-invasive way to know where every single legitimate firearm is. Short of that, everything else is a bad compromise.

It all boils down to the same thing, bad people doing bad things and breaking laws. Not one thing can be traced back to a law abiding citizen doing anything wrong. Chicago lawmakers need some basic education. Repeat after me,"Criminals do not obey laws, that's why they are called criminals!" Now write it 500 times on the blackboard, then pass some more gun control laws and expect them to reduce crime and violence. Oh wait, I just gave the definition of a liberal. Sorry there is nothing I can do to help!
