Assuming the federal govt wants to get involved, is there any legal instrument the feds could use to force the states to honor their U.S. Constitutional requirements vis a vis the Bill of Rights?
Beyond the (obvious to our forum) deprivation of firearms, like if Virginia told the newspapers that they could not publish certain issues, or suspended probable cause, could the fed act without someone filing a civil suit?
Feds can always "withhold funds" . . . that's the legal (?) extortion that was used to force the 55 mph speed limit nationwide many years ago. It's also used numerous times to "get a recalcitrant state in line" with whatever the Feds are forcing down the public's throat at the time.
I don't think the 2nd-A has enough support in DC for this to ever happen for our cause however.
and don't forget to vote...:scratchchin:
It's very important!:yup:
Stay safe!
