Microstamping’s ‘dirty little secret’ should push gun makers to move
Reports have been circulating lately that Remington Arms is thinking about leaving its historic Ilion, N.Y. headquarters and moving to another state because of a perennial effort by anti-gun Empire State lawmakers to impose a microstamping requirement.

Rather than move just refuse to sell in states that require micro-stamping.

NY would require the manufacturing companies located there to employ micro-stamping no matter where they were sold.

I hope they do. And I hope that all of the manufacturers refuse to sell to the LE departments in those states. See how quickly they change the law when the police can't get guns, but the bad guys still can...

Its a fact that most of the gun factories are located in the North East, in states that arent exactly "gun friendly".
Why any of them put up with that crap is beyond me.

In many cases they have been located there for a very long time. Back before the politicians got really nuts and out of hand.
Moving shop is a nightmare logistically and financially. so, they deal with it.
Oh yeah. Go Pittsburgh.

I understand there's commercial space available near the Florida Colt plant.... If all the NY residents are going to come here, Remington may as well too. Just saying.
