    Turnabout is fair play, particularly with an outfit with members who have legal troubles that will prevent them from owning guns.

    The Second Amendment Foundation today came out swinging in a blistering new effort designed raise public awareness about ironies involving Mayors Against Illegal Guns, the organization of mayors organized more than six years ago by anti-gun New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

    While Bloomy is so worried about gun owners committing crimes, he's not making much hay about people in his own ranks running afoul of the law.

    And here I thought Buddy Cianci of RI was the only one who could get convicted, serve time and then get RE-ELECTED!

    Quite frankly I think a felony conviction should bar you from running for any type of public office.

    So long as it's not a mud-slinging fest and simply is a rational outing of the criminality and unsuitability of such folks with respect to the issues, then I have no problem with it.

    You may have to define a line here because these guys have wallowed in mud. All SAF has done is shine a light on it.
    The "issue" here is monumental hypocrisy. This group wants to treat gun owners like criminals, while many in their own ranks have clearly engaged in real criminal activity.
