    Don't know why not to allow them. Although hearing shots, let's us know if other hunters are around and where they are.

    you can hunt with them now in kansas ... passed in 2011.

    ^^ And I'm sure Kansas hasn't experienced "blood in the streets" because of it.

    The only reason I can think to disallow silencers is due to the desirability of criminals to keep their criminal usage quiet.

    But in the case of hunting, target shooting, defensive use, I can't see the problem. Taxation or criminalizing schemes hardly alters their usage or suitability, here.
