South Dakota Deadly Force Laws
In South Dakota, if you have a concealed carry permit, and are in the middle of or are witnessing something similar to the mall shooting or theater shooting that you hear about on the news, would it be lawful to fire at the suspect to subdue him or her?

I don't know of any state that prohibits defence of a another, but then I certainly don't know all states' laws. You need to research SD law specifically. In FL it would be legal to use lethal force to defend another.
