Yawn..... let me put on my tin foil again... but it is NOT about safety, crime reduction, or blah blah blah.... They (the Elite ruling society of eugenicist illumatic type thug gangster bankers) want to have a total worldwide disarmament of everyone especiall the US. They can't establish a complete totalitarian government until we are disarmed. It is about total sheepage of the human race.

So keep on thinking that these people care about safety and are idiots for thinking it is safer with guns, in fact the worst thing I can possibly dream of is the disarmament of the American people. And you know what... it will happen. History does not skip a heartbeat when it comes to repeating it's self.

I'm not surprised at all. I just wish people would stop blaming the tool and start putting the blame where it belongs...the person wielding it.

My local congressman released a statement and to my shock he did not mention gun control.

Just the facts ma'am. If one is going to make bold statements they should be true. Did I blame Bush? Nope. Just staing facts. If that is hard on you then you can ignore my posts. Sigh all you want but if one can't debate or state facts intelligently here they can;t do it with anti's.

Sigh...If someone makes a statement like they did I want to see what prood they have..other wise I just move on..especially if it isn;t true

Like or don't like the POTUS but you can't blame everything on him and try as hard as you want that he is the only POTUS that has ever done stupid things.

Sigh,,,It really is sad that the best response I could get was a sarcastic one.

The whole argument has been missed for many years. When the framers of the Constitution forged the Bill of Rights it was to protect us against ourselves and our government. Back then we had no standing army, so we would be it. The military grade weapon was whatever we brought from home to the fight. Fast forward to today. We are still the standing militia and all that our rifles do is mimic the military rifle which in 1782 we would have had in the house anyway. And the fact that we are not allowed select fire means that our weapons really are not "assault" weapons because they are not fully automatic. So while technology has definitely changed, the militia is just keeping up with the times so that it can come to the aid of the Republic if needed. It is pretty simple really. The real problem is that we are standing in the way of the tyrants which is our Constitutional duty!!!

Today's news had a man in Florida who just killed his neighbor with a hammer. . Do we need rules for hand tools that only responsible tool owners will follow? I wonder if Diane Feinstein will be violating the law by carrying her concealed weapon into the building? I think the solution lies in dealing with mentally sick people, not tools. California had a decent mental health system but Governor Ronald Reagan shut it down. It is un-PC to say that someone is unstable and should have his head examined. I say, President Obama, put back up that nut-house wall.
I don't always have nothing to say, but when I do, I post it on Facebook.

The only place past the media in FL this story made it was here on this forum because I certainly did NOT hear about this until I read your post.

Well, I hope that the new assault weapons ban has a provision that will make it illegal for the following:

    1. Mental Illness is from this point forward is outlawed.
    2. Evil in all its forms is from this day forward outlawed.
    3. Divorce and single parent homes is from this day forward outlawed.

without these provisions added to the new assault weapons ban, it has a snow balls chance in hell of doing one single thing to curb
these mentally deficient induced mass shootings.

The " assault weapon " never left his vehicle. The carnage was done with handguns. Typical knee jerk reaction. And God forbid that the FACTS get in the way of their rhetoric.

Correction: Just heard that he did use an AR. Earlier reports stated that it was found in the vehicle.
The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".

The Medical examiner says the wounds were from an assault rifle (because he can tell what weapon the bullets were fired from from the wound path...), but there is video of the cops taking a rifle out of the trunk of his car, and there had only been reports of them taking the handguns off his body.

Terrible reporting all around. We have no idea yet what actually happened.

As to the dillusional politician from SF CA, well, how about a ban on ignorant or malicious politicians?

    Somebody 'splain me sumptin'........

"It will ban the sale, the transfer, the importation and the possession -- not retroactively, but prospectively --" of "assault weapons" as well as high-capacity magazines.
This is quoted from Sen. Dianne Feinstein's earlier news shot. What EXACTLY is this saying, in particular the bolded.....?

It bans future sales, not current ownership. It would, in the long run, totally eliminate legal civilian ownership of the proscribed items, because it bans transfers, presumably including transfers by operation of law (bequests and inheritance).

I wonder if that would forbid a BK trustee from seizing the weapons. Either the "no transfer" rule prevents seizure, or the weapons have no value to creditors because of that rule and BK trustee ignores them.

This is a mental health issue not a gun issue.
If a group of Taliban used, say, automatic weapons to destroy a girls school in Afghanistan, would we say they should get rid of the guns or get rid of the taliban?
If a small group of Al Quieda use airplanes to destroy a building, is the problem airplanes?
Suppose a single actor makes a diesel fuel/ fertilizer bomb and destroys a Federal building; should we blame fertilizer or diesel fuel?

In each case, we would focus on the acts of the people and their ideology. Why, in the US, do we think it is the guns and not the people? How could limiting magazines (not 'clips') to 10 rounds make a difference? Is there a disconnect between the lawful ownership of guns and their illegal use?

In Florida, over about a quarter century (1987-2012) 2,307,881 people with CWFLs, only 168 have been revoked for firearm related crime. That.s 0.0073 percent

Let's keep the focus on 1) how to protect schools, children, airplanes, buildings, etc. and 2) keeping guns (and other portential weapons) out of the hands of crazy people.
