    AW Ban

A long time ago I saw a picture of a gun that was banned under the 1994 AW Ban next to a picture of non-banned weapon that was exactly the same gun (folding stock versus regular wooded stock... that sort of thing). Anyone got any pictures like that? Or pictures of non-military-looking, non-scary looking, run-of-the-mill rifles that are still capable of holding 20-30 round magazines?

Well, I can't help you on your request Brad, but I can offer you a picture of a salt weapon while you wait for others to chime in...

Under the '94 ban, the top rifle was legal. Bottom was illegal.

I think that this picture has more impact personally.

Well.....there is two ways to look at this.

I could but, my Mama use'd to always say: "Forest.....never supply your enemies with arrows too shoot back at you!"

NJ has an assault weapon ban. Since the stock is pinned, and the flash suppressor also pinned the rifle is NJ legal.

How about the Ruger Mini 14, which often comes with a plain vanilla wood stock and a scope, fires .223 ammo like an AR15, is semi automatic, and will take 20 or 30 round magazines. It is (generally) not an evil black rifle with pistol grip, bayonet lug, grenade launcher and all that military stuff. But it will do the same thing as an AR15.
