I just want to say "be careful what you wish for."

The one useful thing I heard a Lawyer say was "never ask a question you don't know the answer to", so taking a people's vote in the current climate might not be the wisest thing.

I agree. I wouldn't trust a vote to John Q. Public with all the inner city shooting commited by the criminals, bangers and the unstable. The inners city is where the stregnth of the liberal vote blooms. The uninformed would think by banning guns it would stop the violence. Lets make the whole country a gun free zone. Only makes more targets. They fail to see anything they do only affects the law abiding. They dont care, the elite liberals will still have their CCW and body guards. They just keep drinking the socialist agenda Cool Aid.

Agree with above...a people's vote would be a disaster. Can you imagine the propaganda the liberal media will spew? Think 24 hour infomercials aimed at the sheep in NYC, Chi, etc. Not to mention plenty of shenanigans to rig the vote Chicago style. I'm picturing plenty of dead people voting, as well as promises of food/liquor etc to sheeple in exchange for a vote in favor of a ban.

I agree also, and with this past election they are well practiced right now in the art of rigging.

Because nationally, we have government by representation, not referendum.

We've gone away from the elected doing what the electors want to the elected doing their own wishes. Sad.

Then you have plenty of time to discuss the 2A with them when you play.

I live in cattle country. Missouri is the #2 producer of beef.

We refer to Golf as "Cow Pasture Billiards." And it's a complete waste of good grazing land.

My wife is a Democrat, and she doesn't favor an AWB. Go figure.

    Re: Peoples vote?

Ok i can see some logic here. At the very least this should be decided on the local level. Let the commies live in mass and cali and let the protectors live in texas and maine.

    "right wing republicans..." Really???

Are you sure they were not the "Country Club " Republicans we hear about?

Don't you know by now that Not every Republican is a Conservative???

(I have heard it said that not every Democrat is a Liberal/Progressive. Although I have NOT seen many of those since the escape of the Blue Dog Democrats that has been progressing for the past few years.)

That's right. We don't live in a Democracy, we live in a Constitutional Republic. That means we elect representatives to make these decisions for us. That is why we need to spend a bit more time becoming informed about issues and political candidates views on those issues, and less time watching Montel and American Idol. This is the result of our laziness and lack of attention to things and issues of importance. I only hope it is not to late to get involved and save out civil libertys and our country.
