Ahhh..Dianne may one day leave office to be replaced by yet another equally illogical politician.

This is so much more than simply a 2A issue.

It goes to the total and complete implosion of America by a very well laid out plan by those who desire a socialist rule.

Every right, every amendment as well as the constitution in it's entirety are under heavy assault.

It started with the indoctrination of the children approx 40 years ago.

Where do we all think these progressive thinkers came from?

Ah, its not worth the points for me to finish that thought.

Here is what is going through my head, hear me out. I agree with everyone on this board, the 2A is probably the most important amendment because without it the others will easily fall. It is what guarantees us the right to defense against bad guys, in any form, as granted by our creator. Many of us espouse to be die hard enthusiasts and prepared to hand in our firearms, bullets first.

But here is the hard part for me. Just suppose an all out ban and confiscation happens, am I doing my family any good to die at the front door in a prone position or would I better serve and protect them by being able to provide for them as I do now while trying to do what is needed to get rid of the knuckleheads in office that allowed this to happen? If someone came and attacked us (Red Dawn) and I die defending our nation as a citizen I feel my family may be more easily assisted by others when I am gone, but if I die defending my right to keep and bear arms then I think most people would distance themselves from my family. I would be labeled a cop killer or terrorist for shooting soldiers (who ever comes to collect my arms), not a patriot who was defending the constitution and the country. The media would spin it like Ruby Ridge and we'd just be another family of wackos.

I sure hope that came across in print the way it is bouncing around in my noggin. I took an oath, I have had family and friends serve these United States and not all of them have come home alive. These actions were NOT done so our country could be eroded from within by people who could care less and want us to look like Europe, but how far do we as individuals take it?

    Thats always the question.

As long as you have arms to bear you have a limit to what you will take.

    No arms....no limit.

Thats why they want your guns.

At least she is consistent, the video dates back to 95. While I can't stomach the woman, I will say that at least she has the cajones to say where she stands. Unlike 99% of the politicians that say one thing while stabbing you in the back.

While you have a point there Archer, I'd still like to see her stand on the oath she took when she took office.

I know it's difficult to change the Constitution, it should be difficult, but I don't even like folks getting in there and starting to mess with it. The Bill of Rights is one of the most powerful documents ever written, and forms the foundation of a truly great society.

Agreed, but Archer is just saying that at least she is above board with her desire to break her oath.

    I can't argue with that.

As far away from home as possible within driving range.. say a non owning, trusted family member?.. Affidavits and obituaries are written up every day if ya know what I mean..
Why?? Because at the last second, the Police are minutes away.

I honestly dont think even the most rabid anti gun politician believes the people of the United States can be disarmed. Playing to different voter blocks with talk and temporary bans etc yes. Simply just passing some law that will magically convince the majority of gun owners in this country to simply hand em over? They know better. Even if some act as if they dont.
Even the majority of non gun owners in this country arent rabid anti gun and would not support some heavy handed attempt at confiscation of all guns.
How far does one take it some here are asking. I suppose that rests on if one is comfortable living under what would amount to British rule. Again. Jmo

As far as I'm concerned, I think people like Feinstein should pool their money, buy some land somewhere, and start their own little socialist "utopia." Then we'll all see how well it works out for them, assuming that they aren't invaded and taken over within a year by someone with those "mean old guns."
