Guns kill people, therefore ban all guns. If that is true then...

1. Spoons make people fat, so ban all spoons and forks. Ban ALL fast food restaurants and any drink over 20 oz.
2. Knives kill people so ban all knives, including butter knives. (No more Chopped). In same vein ban all sharp objects including knitting needles, sewing needles, and all but the dullest scissors.
3. Vehicles kill people, so ban all motorized vehicles. Horses kill people too, so no horse drawn carriages or horseback riding.
4. No diesels--they definitely kill people
5. Hospitals, doctors, medications, chemotherapy, radiation, aspirin, Tylenol, and Benadryl all kill people so definitely ban all aspects of the medical profession--just way too dangerous!
6. Tobacco kills people, so ban all forms of tobacco growing, manufacturing, distribution, selling and use.
7. Methamphetamine kills people so ban ingredients, manufacturing, distribution, selling and use.
8. Alcohol kills people, so ban manufacture, distribution, selling, and consumption.

Notice how the subject line is often repeated and is NEVER seen as absurd, silly, or stupid, but 1-8 of my list above is clearly ludicrous!
