I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

And we have another winner. This is the issue. Just like dealing with terrorists. Their strategy is war to the death. Our strategy is not. Therefore they make progress one small step at a time. They actually need to be SHUT DOWN somehow.

I think the Republicans better worry what will happen in 2014 if the gun grabbers get ANYTHING.

I don't think that writing in a condescending tone and being overly sarcastic in a letter to your representatives will aid our cause one bit. If anything it reflects poorly on gun owners. What we need is informed, logical, respectful discourse that references the very best data we can find if we want to make any headway in protecting our Second Amendment rights. We may not like the people to whom we're writing but being rude probably isn't a sound strategy.

You obviously haven't seen my other 47 letters...at some point, you get tired of always being nice. Today, I reached that point.

They will get some of what they want, if only because the Republicans are already worried about 2014
Anyone who signs on to any part of this idiocy , regardless of party , needs to ousted in their next election and charged with TREASON. Fire every D___ one of them.

Perhaps it is time for our Representatives to collectively make a trip to the National Archives in Washington D.C. and familiaraize themselves with the history of this once great nation and the principles on which it was founded. I understand fully if you need to go to Wikipedia and look up the definition of the word 'Principles.'"
I hope it was to one of the gun haters, rather than one of our friends.

I'm just one root in a grassroots organization. No one should assume that I speak for the VCDL.

I am neither an attorney-at-law nor I do play one on television or on the internet. No one should assumes my opinion is legal advice.

I kinda see it like this:
    Stimulus Pkg - Strike One
    Obamacare - Strike Two
Any gun control - Strike Three and I'll start to vote against my principles just to hasten the flush as those who are supposed to support my principles (or at least most of them) refuse to stand up to those who don't.
