I guess your comment was to Yeager originally and not people on the thread but when a discussion begins to develop for pages and you respond directly to the first post it's hard to understand where your comment is pointed. No, it has happened (or was threatened and nearly happened, not sure which) to a CHL instructor in TX who had
a similarly big mouth and no sense of discretion. Though, it was a threatened loss of the instructor's permit not the CHL
if memory serves.

A Middle Tennessee firearms trainer who made an ominous and very public promise in a YouTube video that gained national attention this week, has had his handgun carry permit suspended Friday by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security.
James Yeager, 42, had his permit suspended based on a "material likelihood of risk of harm to the public," the department said in a statement.
Yeager told Channel 4 News he is aware of the suspension, and his attorney will handle his statements going forward.
The department said Yeager has the right to seek a review of the decision.

I might be late with this, but I understand that Tennesee suspended his handgun permit. I believe most of us feel just as deeply about the possible AWB as Yeager, however we do not need this kind of rhetoric to make our point. The Libs can say " see I told you they were all maniacs" Getting his AR and "goin out to shoot people" is absolutely the wrong image at the wrong time.

I can understand some blow back for such an idiotic video but why is it that a black panther, spike lee and race pimps can cause death threats to a guy in Florida defending himself legally but they have ZERO consequences. I guess it still remains if you have a southern accent, rebel flag and bald head you are handled under a complete double standard. If you are black or in the political forcefield you can threaten everyone and say incredibly violent things and nothing ever happens. if you are this profile the world comes down on you. I have no issues with Yeager getting slapped a little, I just want to know where is the consistency?

Yes it does Hop. Get you a new straight jack tuxedo. I wish he had been more calm but I understand his convictions related to confiscation. I don't condone his words but understand his resistance. The suspension of rights has happened just by exercising rights and took a Federal Judge two direct orders to get Nagel and the NOPD to stop confiscation and return the guns to the owners during Katrina. I have first hand knowledge of these events as a Cat adjuster working claims from Katrina. People were turning in claims stating the Guard and or NOPD stole their firearms. They were just protecting their homes and had good reason to. Believe me when I tell you it was dangerous. The only people that were left behind were the people that didn't have the money to leave and the drug dealers and the bangers looking to expand their criminal enterprise. Regular folks were exercising their rights of protection and then their rights were suspended with the kick of a door. Is the frustration of people have no merit where you are concerned or do you have a line in the sand. I'm not attacking you by any means I was just wondering where is the line drawn in the sand with you and with honest reflection, what is appropriate resistance.

We know the "rules" that the media plays by. In this case what other people did and how the press responded means nothing at all to whats happing now with a possible AWB. The press portrays us as "gun nuts" and Yeager just strengthened that portrayal, he did us no good. What we need are more spokesmen like Marine Josh Boston. Reasonable, articulate, and correct in their interpretation on the 2nd Amendment and less like the moron that is James Yeager. He did damn near as much damage to us as that psychopath in CT.

I think people are confusing principled opposition to a political position with a falsely assumed right
to break the law. He lost his license, now let him go tell it to a judge; and let's see if a judge thinks
that was 1A protected speech or not. What he did was the equivalent of yelling fire in a theater and more.
The former is disorderly conduct, maybe reckless endangerment if it causes a stamped for the exits, possibly
manslaughter if someone get trampled. The latter, was a direct threat, or in today's inappropriate
parlance, terroristic threat. And that doesn't even get to 18 USC § 2383
