Just a show? NRA says Biden group set on gun control despite latest meetings
Love this quote at the end of the article.
"Vice President Biden would do well to read the 2nd Amendment and revisit the meaning of the phrase 'shall not be infringed,'" Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., said in a statement. "Bypassing Congress to implement radical policies is never acceptable."

You Louisiana folks should be proud of Rep. Scalise. Send him a quick thank you note!

It may not matter what they do or don't do.......
I guess any state at any time can adopt the DC rules that would say you can't be in possession of this or that or these or those.

Biden has been saying the same thing since he was given this assignment. His mind has been made up since the start...

Well, I'll say this about your scenario. While I don't agree with it being a "solution" for them since a state shouldn't have the legal authority to supersede the Constitution. I'd much rather see that happen than see the "good" states have to fight an unconstitutional federal law. Neither one is a good outcome though.

I love Colorado, born and raised here, but I fear I may have to relocate to another state. If the Feds Don't get us (CO gun owners), it's starting to look like the State will.
On hiatus.
Hit my limit for speculation, the sky is falling, and gun owners fighting amongst themselves.

Well, any state could try. There's a big difference. The places where the high population of Libs might hold onto those sorts of bans, but the key point I was making is not every state would be subject to it.
As bad as I feel about saying it, I think there may come a time where everyone who enjoys the freedoms we appreciate, may literally have to make sure they reside in a state that has those same values. I hate writing off all the good folks in NY, NJ, CA and IL, but maybe it's time to do a little "Atlas Shrugged" and pack up and leave them to the hovel they've created.

My problem is that I am ready to purchase a Glock-19 but am somewhat hesitant to do so until I see the wording on any new bans....Depending on the wording I may be forced to purchase a Glock-26. Can't afford to purchase a new weapon and then find out it's illegal to be in possession of.....I'm retired, not wealthy.

Yeah, I see your dilema and I do understand. Heck, I'm pondering buying a second G19 simply because I'm afraid if they do end up banning them federally, I won't have a replacement if my current 19 has some sort of critical failure (and I'm not wealthy either!).

But someone DID complain. The DC gun ban went all the way to the Supreme Court and was ruled unconstitutional.

Just a show? With a question mark? Were you just being silly?
Of course it was just a show.
This entire issue has less to do with guns and more to do with the far left communist, socialistic agenda they have been pushing for many years.
Getting the guns is simply a large stone to be removed from the wall of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They will not stop until the wall has been totally pulverized.
While this particular issue is indeed a critical step; let us not take our eye off the ball in their (the left) attempt to completely dismantle the U.S Constitution.
