There are many ways to play the game. Kirk Maltby was a famous agitator for the Red Wings. His verbal assault and tenacious fore checking used to get under other player's skin and take them off their game. If it makes the antis mad, I'm o.k. with it. I think most of us will articulate a more genteel approach...not that I believe it will yield a different result. They hate us for what we believe not for how we make our point.

I like the fact that the NRA is taking the PR campaign straight to the public, as advocated by others on previous threads.

I can't comment on the effectiveness, but I like it, especially since a lot of anti's seem to not like it.

I really don't care about POTUS's feelings...

But really - that's the best that the NRA can do? With all the abominations and incrimination that the administration has heaped upon itself - that's what the NRA comes up with?

I'm still an active member, but I stand by my historical assertions that the NRA is largely incompetent. They may be our best representation, but that speaks poorly for us.

I don't think his kids were ever "on the table". The add does not show them, it does not name them. It simply refers to the fact that he has them. The add is about the security detal around the girls, not the girls themselves. It is about obama and hipocricy, not children.

He doesn't need guns. He just signed an executive order giving himself secret service protection for life. That's the hypocrisy. The protected telling us what we do and don't need to protect ourselves.

You can gauge how close to the bone it cut by the extent of the reaction. I'd say it hit close to home.

And if Bloomberg thought the idea was so stupid, why did NY have over 5000 armed officers in schools BEFORE the CT incident? Do as they say, not as they do.
