The Truth About Assault Weapons
This: The Truth About Assault Weapons provides an easy to use, easy to understand presentation on so-called "assault rifles" that does so without emotion, without sarcasm, without judgement and may help explain the errors bandied about by the MSM.
It may not be "perfect", but within limitations, I think it is an excellent tool. I would encourage you to use it as you may.

"But if they don't exist, how can a man see them?"
"You may think I'm pompous, but actually I'm pedantic... let me explain the difference."
"Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive and don't ever apologize for anything."

Thanks! The article is informative. I plan to forward to a number of local news folks. I imagine they will not take time to read the article and perhaps rethink. My sense, like to fools leading this charge, many have already made up their minds.
I will, however, continue my efforts!

An assault weapon is any weapon that causes gun banners to lose bowel and bladder control at the mere sight of it.

With all those facts, no one on the left will be able to understand it.

Thanks for that. My wife and I were visiting my parents last night and we talked a little about the whole gun control issue. When the conversation came to so called assault weapons, my mother said she was for a ban. When it became clear that she thought these were automatic weapons (machine guns) I informed her that real assault weapons had been all but completely banned a long time ago, and the anti's have been very successful at re-defining the term assault weapon. She now understands, and her stance on the issue has changed. I'll be forwarding this link to a few other people and hopefully if we all do this, we can, little by little, change the narrative on the issue (OK, probably not, but it's still worth a try).

If you have time watch this video The Second Amendment in 2013 (David B. Kopel) - YouTube
I found it on this page of the article mentioned in box one "The AR-15 is particularly favored for its modularity, accuracy, light weight, and low recoil—attributes that make it ideal not only for shooting sports but also armed self-defense
Good dialogue. We need a lot more conversations like this one.
