    Relax people.

Anybody can be charged with anything...that doesnt mean it will stick.

Lets wait to see what happens before we waste any emotion on it.

Par for the course in the capital of the republic.

I guess he was supposed to just stand there, watch, and wait for the cops to respond. Nevermind if the kid was killed or had his face eaten while waiting around for the authorities.

The story also says the cops ended up responding, but only because a shot was fired and got his attention, the officer shows up on scene and proceeds to shoot the other two of the three dogs that were attacking the kid. So officer comes late and does the exact same thing this man did and somehow what this guy did was wrong. Great logic. Classic DC justice at work.

No they are actually ALL criminals there. So they simply attack those OTHER people. Would not live in that swamp hole. Not surprised in the least. If I shot a dog chewing a child I would have NO regrets.

On the other hand this is why you carry a GOOD knife to zip in-around that dog's throat. Much safer and very quick. Watch those hog hunting reality shows sometime...

wow. I'm speachless. The guy should be getting a medal or something. But alas this is what the liberals do. Take a law such as carrying a weapon being illegal (which I think is a unconstitutional law anyway) and take it to the utmost extreme possible. He may have been outside his property line therefore he was illegaly carrying. They will continue to push the bounds of law past the "spirit and intent" of the law to suit their needs. This particular case is all about gun control.

If it wasn't for him and the actions he took the child would have been mauled to death. Anyone who would want to punish him for that has some serious issues.

Amazing. How about we ask the boy and his parents if they think a crime was committed by the gun owner. The only crime was committed by the dogs owners.

I can't see DC or the US attorney's office possibly opening a door that would allow for the striking down of the ban on carry in DC. Guy gets acquitted, and it sets precedent for outside the home carry and self defense. Guy loses, appeals and wins, and the carry ban is ruled unconstitutional, game over for DC.

This guy is one of a very few That I would take a couple of his days in jail for! He was where he was supposed to be doing what he should be doing and came to the aid of a child. If the prosecutor doesn't want to loose he should just fail to charge him! DR

I know he hasn't been charged with anything yet but it's still a sad state of affairs when a man does something nice and instead of being grateful for averting harm, we have to take a time out to see if we can charge him on something. Isn't that lovely?
