    Well, as it turns out, both the PopVox.com and the GovTrack.us web sites are pretty good as it is. They both have lists of newly-introduced legislation, summaries, links to the bill text. Though, PopVox in particular works very well. It's got a sorted list of legislation, ordered by newest-first; it has summaries, links to the bill text; it offers notification of status changes on bills; and it offers communication (in aggregate) to our elected folk. Sort of makes this list superfluous, beyond notifying folks the bills exist.

    But thanks for the nod, anyway.

    Federal Gun legislation;
    Anti gun group/polititians, tactics.

    1).....Pick up poop,(yes its iky) pick it up anyway.
    2).....Raise hand with poop in it behind your head(be careful to ensure you don't drip poop on you).
    3).....Throw poop onto wall.
    4).....Wait for gulliable constituents and fellow members of congress to come along.
    5).....whip them into a frenzy.
    6).....See if anything sticks.

    With the exception of maybe a couple pro gun ones,

    Based on a suggestion from another member here, I joined PopVox yesterday. It is a great service. They have a number of widgets that DC could add to this site to keep us abreast of the legislation and make it easier for our members here to weigh in on all the bills

    Well, the text of S.150 Assault Weapons Ban Of 2013 is now available: S.150 bill text.

    Pretty bold, in-your-face words for a right that "shall not be infringed."

    As they say in the South ... them's fightin' words.

    Ah, the Heller v DC decision: it consigned us to a walk toward Hades by leaving the darned door open to any and all manner of gun control schemes. Time for SCOTUS to get some backbone, right quick. A fight's coming.

    Interesting little tidbit in this bill, as well, to attempt to thwart the effects of any judgment of unconstitutionality that's slapped against this proposed bill. Essentially, she's betting the whole smash won't be declared unconstitutional:

    15 SEC. 7. SEVERABILITY.

    If any provision of this Act, an amendment made by this Act, or the application of such provision or amendment to any person or circumstance is held to be unconstitutional, the remainder of this Act, the amendments made by this Act, and the application of such provision or amendment to any person or circumstance shall not be affected thereby.
