Johnson County Kansas Sheriff Ridiculed by the Media over 2A Press Release
The KC Star called it “Gun Safety” and not what it actually is “Gun Control”. They also never mention that their "Gun Safety" is a “Constitutional Infringement of Rights”.

That article is foaming at the mouth with liberal bias.

The Mother Jones cite and statistic has been proven wrong repeatedly. The Star is just a fish-paper.

Apparently, a majority of your fellow voters are, too.

I live in JOCO and when I read that last week, I broke out my AR and AK and we danced around the house! I was thinking of moving out of town a bit, I guess I need to see what the Miami County Sheriff says first.

So, the paper can't look at data itself, it has to rely on an interweb site for stats?

Kansas has put up some outstanding sheriffs throughout their history. This one sounds like a keeper, at least as far as 2A rights are concerned.

The Star has been a liberal/progressive rag for decades. I may look at the headlines to see the newest death count in KC, but I never read the "editorials" as they are always liberal/progressive pap.

That's the truth. I can barely bring myself to look at that ridiculous liberal propaganda machine disguised as a "newspaper".

The Kansas City (Red) Star fought hard against the passage of CCW here in Missouri. They have traditionally had a editorial stance just a little to the left of Karl Marx and have always been outspoken opponents of RKBA.
As with other established dead tree publishers that have not diversified into other media, the (Red) Star relies on advertising revenue to keep treading water.
Ordinarily, as with other anti 2A companies, I would recommend financially dis-incentivising them from holding ignorant political stances. In the case of a newspaper, cancelling your subscription. At this point though, the only people who still subscribe are fishmongers and people who need free bird cage liner.
However; you know that giant, mailbox clogging clump of advertising that shows up every Wednesday? That's their primary source of ad revenue now and, unknown to most people, you can cancel it. There's a number on the outside page to report "problems", call them and tell them you want them to stop spamming your mailbox. I know several people who still work there and from what they tell me, if a lot of people did this it would hurt them significantly. I would provide the number, but I did it months ago.
I wouldn't bother making a political statement over it, as I doubt it would reach the editorial staff and might, in fact, cause an unsympathetic phone monkey to not process your request.
