$1000 to turn in your neighbors for carrying a gun in NJ.

Not a huge surprise, since NJ gun laws are fairly restrictive to begin with. But nonetheless, it seems wrong headed to me to offer $1000 even if they don't get a conviction. That sounds like they're offering $1000 just to have an opportunity to harass even legal owners.

That is not a new video. They have had that program for awhile. Still stupid.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Turning neighbor against neighbor. Citizen against citizen. This is how the Soviets did it to keep the populus living in fear.

Anybody know if this actually happens? Do people turn in their neighbors?

I would have to move - simple as that! I figure they can pry my gun(s) from my dead cold hands. I obey the law but refuse to live like that when I've fought to keep our freedom and that of others. Many of us have sacrified much not so that it can be taken away I pray.

If you turn in your neighbors now, who will help you when they come for you?

Only the lowest of the low would even consider doing something like that.
