I saw that when it was happening. It's a shame she didn't get more questions asked of her throughout the meeting because she had some good points.

I saw her testimony as well. She was a great witness. We need more women to speak up publicly about the fact that firearms empower them to defend themselves in situations when no one else is there to help and the police are too far away to get there in time.

A person capable of protecting against and withstanding deadly threat is less likely to succumb to such deadly threat, sure. Man or woman, old or young, at home or out and about. Fail to be capable of withstanding an aggressively deadly attack, then you get what you get.

If that is indeed the case, I bet many if not most of these spouses, ex's etc., have some kind of history of violence or mental health issues, and they should be scrutinized. But is that being done??? I highly doubt it.
