Line two in the article Obammy is huddled in ( behind closed doors) with democrats. Nice what happened to transparent? I hope thousands and thousand of law abiding people show up and voice.

Mr. O'Malley, a Democrat, will testify before the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee in favor of his bill, which would also ban assault weapons, limit magazine capacities to 10 rounds and require prospective gun buyers to complete a safety course and pay a $100 application fee.
Where are the justice brothers and the aclu and naacp shrieking such a fee will disenfranchise a certain segment of the population and prevent them from owning a means of defending themselves?

pfft! They're busy.. making sure they don't have to prove who they are or how many times they vote. And, this will only feed the black market sales of firearms...

Seems we tried something similar back in the day... and created a whole new class of criminals.... most everybody... and the smart ones built entire criminal and/or political machines (some say there's no difference) out of the money made running booze... there's Chicago... and the Kennedy clan, as examples. Al owned Chicago... and Ol' Joe P. Kennedy... Well, he got himself a president out of it... and mighta had 2.
