Bizarre piece from Tony Bennett.
Singer Tony Bennett, along with celebrities such as Chris Rock, held a press conference in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday to raise awareness of gun violence and push for gun control. In his remarks, Bennett likened the opposition to more gun control laws to Nazi Germany. Bennett said opponents had to be "told off" like the Nazis.

How does violence turn us into Nazi Germany. I think gun control will turn us into Nazi Germany & it will take some counter action to prevent it.

I think he left his wits in San Francisco.
I like his historical take on how the Nazis had to be "told off". A good harsh talking to, that's what those Nazis needed.
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

so sad.... they paid another face... to say something... and his argument makes as much sense as anything they are selling... but, he's a face... and he's revered by a certain set... and somebody is listening to him... even if it's only the broad behind him.

Tony's history is a little rusty. Dementia will do that to you. At least the voice is still there.

And here I thought all they really needed was a hug. Apparently the "tough love" talking to would have made the difference.

I guess we really should be thankful a little for these types of spokespersons. Almost anyone can refute his position with little work.

Wait, wait, pump the friggen brakes for a minute. Let's review, shall we?
"Without Gun Control, U.S. May Turn Into Nazi Germany"
What the deuce? Is he really that remedial? Unless there's been some fantastical revision in every history book in print, the German government strictly enforced said gun control, of which Hitler took huge advantage. A whole lot of people died as a result, we all know the story.
That's almost worse than Chris Rock telling us that Obama is our boss and our daddy. Nope. He looks nothing like my daddy and last time I checked we're HIS boss.
